Eighty percent of the world's population is dead.
Food is scarce.
And a different breed known as hybrids are amongst us.
I'm lucky to survive this long with my four boys.
It's my duty to take care of them as the head of the family—as the Alpha. Until my eldest challenges me, and I must submit to him. I know it's only a matter of time before the other three challenge me as well. I've no choice but to run. And hope they never find me. 
 
I need to remind myself that's it's a different world. Different rules. A different time in which the Alpha is the leader and everyone else must submit.
I must remember that the year is 2084.
